UMACC Resource Center → Where Food Assistance Meets Community Support

"Connecting Families with Resources, Education, and Opportunities That Strengthen Everyday Life"

The UMACC Resource Center serves as a bridge between food assistance and community support. While families visit the pantry to meet immediate food needs, the Resource Center provides access to programs, resources, education, and opportunities that help strengthen everyday life.

We believe every visit should leave families feeling informed, encouraged, respected, and supported.

Our Mission

The mission of the UMACC Resource Center is to serve as a bridge between food assistance and community support, connecting families with resources, education, seasonal programs, and meaningful partnerships that strengthen everyday life. We are committed to enriching the pantry experience by creating a welcoming environment where every family feels informed, encouraged, respected, and cared for.

Our Vision

Our vision is to strengthen our community by connecting families with resources, education, and meaningful partnerships that promote stability, opportunity, and hope for generations to come.

What We Do

The UMACC Resource Center serves as the connection between pantry services and community support. During each pantry visit, families have opportunities to discover programs, resources, and services that strengthen everyday life and promote long-term stability.

We believe access to information is just as important as access to food. That's why the Resource Center offers more than referrals—it creates opportunities for families to learn, connect, and engage with the community.

Our Resource Center provides:

  • Daily meal ideas featuring recipes using ingredients commonly available through the pantry.

  • Information about UMACC's seasonal and year-round programs, including the Brown Bag Breakfast & Lunch Program, Back-to-School initiatives, holiday programs, and other special distributions.

  • Educational materials focused on nutrition, wellness, budgeting, and healthy living.

  • Connections to local organizations and community resources that offer services and support to individuals and families.

  • Opportunities for community organizations and nonprofit partners to participate in pantry distributions, allowing families to meet directly with service providers, ask questions, and learn about valuable programs and resources available within our community.

  • Information about upcoming community events, workshops, health initiatives, and special opportunities throughout the year.

Every interaction is guided by our commitment to treating each family with dignity, compassion, and respect while creating meaningful connections that strengthen families and build a stronger community.

Together We Build Stronger Communities

Every pantry visit is an opportunity to provide more than food.

Together with our volunteers, nonprofit partners, businesses, healthcare organizations, schools, and community leaders, we are helping families access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
